A great burr grinder is essential if you want to take your home brewing to the next level. As one of Baratza’s longest-standing offerings, the Virtuoso has been a favorite home grinder for coffee lovers of all kinds.
The Virtuoso has seen a few recent upgrades including a new improved burr set that was originally developed for the Preciso. In addition to the new burr set, the most visible upgrade is the new digital timer and LCD display. The new timer allows you to set your desired grind time from 1-40 seconds, to the tenth of a second, allowing you greater control on the amount of coffee you grind each time. The Virtuoso also features pulse mode by holding down the button for a few seconds. In pulse mode, you can grind what you need by holding down the button, and the timer will count up to let you know how long your dose takes.
Similar to previous iterations of the Virtuoso, the Virtuoso+ features 40 mm conical steel burrs, 40 grind settings that are capable of grinding a wide range of sizes from very fine to coarse covering espresso to press pot. In our experience, this great burr grinder is perfect for pour over and auto drip brewing and you want more control and features then the Encore.
